concern

I’ve been in online communities under various names and such since I was about 14/15.  It’s old hat to me, now…a whopping seven years later.  I’m wondering though.  One of my Flickr contacts got engaged.  Is it unhealthy that I’m really happy for her…more so than I was when my former best friend announced her engagement.  I didn’t go to her wedding.  But I would want to go to the Flickr friend’s.  (actually there are two…but that’s beside the point.)

I think I’m starting to feel happier for events in the lives of my online friends than I am for my real life friends.  Why?  Am I socially…skewed or something?
